During serious injury, loss, or crisis, families may need extra support. Care Teams provide short-term help so families can focus on what matters most.

Care Teams are made up of trained volunteers and work closely with unit leadership.

How Care Teams Help

Support may include:

  • Emotional support and check-ins

  • Help with meals, childcare, or transportation

  • Assistance for visiting family members

Care Teams are not required, but they are a valuable option during difficult times.

Units can contact ACS to request Care Team training or support.
