Do-it-yourself mechanics wishing to use the Auto Skills Shop are required to read the Auto Skills SOP then download and fill out the questionnaire below. Once you have completed the questionnaire, print out the last two pages of the PDF and please take the form over to the Auto Skills Center (Bldg. 1430). You will be given a shop orientation and issued a shop card.

The Auto Skills Center is located at Building 1430 at the corner of Aberdeen and Dyer. The facility is set up for self-help auto maintenance, but also has qualified automotive professionals to perform maintenance and service repairs. The facility has all the tools and equipment needed for minor service or major repairs, four lifts and four open bays. Available technical equipment includes a brake-drum lathe, front-end alignment rack, engine analyzer, tire changing and wheel balancing machines, alternator and starter test equipment, plus a variety of manuals for most American and foreign cars. The car wash is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
