WSMR MOMC Cardboard Regatta

Will your creation rule the waves or end up in the deep end? Join us for the ultimate test of engineering and courage at the WSMR Cardboard Regatta! As part of our Month of the Military Child (MOMC) celebrations, we’re inviting all ages to build their best cardboard vessel and battle for pool-side glory.

From creative designs to the high-stakes "Main Event" showdown, it’s going to be a day of splashes, laughs, and serious competition.

Race Schedule & Age Groups

We have categories for every level of sailor! We will also be selecting a "Most Creative Boat" winner in each age division, so don't hold back on the decorations.

Ages 5 – 10

• 11:00 – 11:20 am: Boat Race

• 11:30 – 11:50 am: Most Maneuverable Challenge

• (Note: Ages 6 and under require a parent on board or in the water.)

Ages 11 – 17

• 12:00 – 12:20 pm: Boat Race

• 12:30 – 12:50 pm: Most Maneuverable Challenge

The Main Event: Battle for the Pool

Time: 1:00 – 1:30 pm | Category: Active Duty / 18+

This is the ultimate regatta showdown. The goal? Sink every opponent. It’s a battle of endurance and cardboard integrity where the last boat floating claims total victory!
