Combine the fun of a wonderful story with a refreshing walk outside!

Our WSMR StoryWalk® will feature the children's picture book The Dot by Peter Reynolds. The Dot is an empowering tale about a little girl who doesn't think she can draw. Her art teacher convinces her to just get started by making a dot. The little girl finds out how many interesting, fun ways she can create art with only a dot. "The empowering tale emphasizes the artistic process, gently reminding the creative spirit in all of us that there is no wrong way to create" ~Goodreads.
The WSMR Post Library will put up a StoryWalk® around the White Sands School track. Children and adults will walk around the track while enjoying the story. At the end, the group can sign the guest book, stamp hands, and/or take a picture to post on Facebook. Take your stamped hands, picture, and/or Facebook post (whichever you prefer!) to Bell Gymnasium to receive a free Strong B.A.N.D.S. bracelet.
The StoryWalk® project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
