Take a trip to explore Kilbourne Hole!
Located in South Central New Mexico, Kilbourne hole is a classic example of a MAAR crater that formed as a result of the explosive interaction of hot basaltic magma with groundwater durring a volcanic eruption.
The walk is about 1 to 2 miles long and requires some climbing, please wear appropriate clothing and shoes.
