ACS Family Advocacy Program: Free Parenting Classes

Strengthen your family and connect with other parents through our variety of free educational programs. Whether you are looking for expert insights on family safety or a fun way to bond with your children, ACS has a class for you.

Class Offerings

  • Family Insights Class: Learn about Federal (WSMR) and State (NM) laws regarding family violence reporting, identification of child abuse/neglect, and prevention efforts.
    • When: First Tuesday of each month, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM.
    • Location: Army Community Service, Bldg. 250 Rock Island Avenue.
  • Supporting Parents Q&A: A dedicated space for caregivers to discuss parenting challenges, gain family dynamics skills, and strengthen family resilience.
    • When: Every other Friday, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM.
    • Location: Army Community Service, Bldg. 250 Rock Island Avenue.
  • Talking 'Bout Sexual Behaviors in Youth: Gain education on the Army installation's response to juvenile-on-juvenile sexual behaviors and how to ensure the safety of youth.
    • When: Last Tuesday of each month, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM.
    • Location: Army Community Service, Bldg. 250 Rock Island Avenue.
  • Mommy and Me: Structured sessions focused on development and bonding, allowing parents to share the early parenting journey while kids socialize.
    • When: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Check flyer for specific dates).
    • Location: Sgt. Pedro Track.
  • Daddy and Me: Similar to Mommy and Me, these sessions offer dads and caregivers a way to enrich their parenting journey through bonding activities.
    • When: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Check flyer for specific dates).
    • Location: Bell Gym, Bldg. 236 Picatinny St..
