The Summer Reading Program is a six week challenge that starts in June and ends in July. The challenge is to read a minimum of 20 minutes per day. You may use the Beanstack app to track your minutes (or ask for a physical log to do so). The top three readers in the adult, teen, and children categories will receive grand prize bags at the end of the six week challenge.
Reading 20 minutes per day helps promote a healthy mind and helps to prevent "summer slide" for school age children.
There is a choice of four age groups:
Newborn - 4yrs
5yrs - 12yrs
13yrs - 17yrs
18yrs - Adult
*Patrons are encouraged to register and log minutes for themselves and their entire family (including spouses, infants, toddlers, children and teens).
To sign up with the Beanstack app, see WSMR's Beanstack website: https://wsmrreads.beanstack.org/reader365
