In honor Navy Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL who lost his life in action during a fierce firefight in Afghanistan and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, becoming the first Navy sailor to earn the highest US military decoration since the Vietnam War.

Do the Murph Challenge! This challenge was once Lt. Murphy's favorite workout and originally called "Body Armor". But after his passing it was renamed The Murph. 

The Murph Challenge consists of:

  • A one-mile run
  • 100 pull-ups
  • 200 push-ups
  • 300 air squats
  • and another one-mile run

all while in a 20 lb. vest or body armor. 

 

Cost

This event if free and a part of the Strong B.A.N.D.S. program.
